Welcome to 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting 2021

2 Chronicles 7:14
“if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

WEEK ONE FOCUS 1/11-1/17Consecration

WEEK THREE FOCUS 1/25-1/31Demonstration

God is calling His people to once again follow this path toward reivial:

  • Humility

  • Prayer

  • Seeking God first

  • Repentance

Romans 12:1-2
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
This week of consecration begins by establishing the principle of “prayer first.”  In order to facilitate a dynamic and powerful prayer life, you should establish the following:

  • A certain time for prayer.  You'll likely need to break old habits in order to establish new ones. You should set a certain private time for prayer each day, when your devices are turned off and you will not be interrupted. Be consistent.

  • A certain place for prayer.  Make yourself a prayer place.  Is it in your bedroom? Your living room? Your car? Find a place to physically visit each day for a dedicated time of prayer.

  • A certain plan for prayer.  What are you going to do when you pray? How should you pray? Jesus' disciples asked a similar question. He answered with a model prayer. We can use this method in our modern prayer life. Reference Matthew 6:9-13.

    • CONNECT WITH GOD RELATIONALLY. “Our Father in Heaven...” God desires a relationship with us. Begin your prayer time acknoweldging God and your relationship with Him.  Thank Him that He has adopted you and given you "the right to become," the child of God.

    • WORSHIP HIS NAME. “Hallowed be Your name...” Speak all that you know God to be outloud. Acknowledge Him and worship Him for all that He is willing to be in your life.

    • PRAY HIS AGENDA FIRST.  "Your Kingdom come. Your will be done on earth
      as it is in Heaven."
Pray Kingdom-minded prayers.  Focus on God's priorities, rather than selfish priorities. Pray for revival in our world, for lost souls, for the church and for God's perfect will to be done in and through your life.

    • PRAY FOR PROVISION. "Give us this day our daily bread..."  God wants to supply all of our needs.  Come to Him with your problems and various needs of provision.  Trust in His provision and thank Him for it.

    • FORGIVE AND BE FORGIVEN. "Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.”  Confess your sins.  Repent by turning away from your sins and asking God to forgive you.  Ask God to show you areas in your life where you are sinning. Ask God to help you forgive others who have hurt or offended you.

    • ENGAGE IN SPIRITUAL WARFARE. "And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us
      from the evil one.”
Be aware that the enemy of our souls seeks to destroy us. Ask for God's delievrance and protection. Humble yourself and submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee! Recognize that God has given you mighty spiritual weapons to use in this battle. Ask God to grow you in warfare praying. Ask Him to deliver you from daily temptations. Recognize that He has provided an escape from every temptation.

    • EXPRESS FAITH IN GOD’S ABILITY. “For Yours is the Kingdom and the power
      and the glory forever.”
All things are possible with God. Nothing is too hard for Him. Return to praising Him, declaring His goodness and your absolute faith in Him. All authority belongs to Him (the Kingdom). He has all power. God's victory will be complete (the glory belongs to Him).

Matthew 28:18-20
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Acts 2:38
Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 2:4-5
...my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

  • Pray every day and consecrate your life every day.  Ask God about your calling in His Kingdom. Ask Him for the power and demonstration of the Spirit!

  • Select one or two days to fast this week.

  • Read the Bible daily.
